Introduced in 1972 by Signetics, the 555 is still in widespread use due to its low price, ease of use, and stability. It is now made by many companies in the original bipolar and in lowpower CMOS technologies. As of 2003, it was estimated that 1 billion units were manufactured every year. The 555 is the most popular integrated circuit ever manufactured.
This is an enhanced USB-powered module for charging rechargeable lithium batteries using the constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging method.
This module provides constant-current/constant-voltage (CC/CV) charging, along with protection against over-voltage, over-discharge, over-current and short circuits to protect the battery and the device that it is powering.
The device to be powered by the battery is connected to the module's OUT+ and OUT- connectors and the battery is connected to the B+ and B- connections. When connected to USB power, the module provides up to 1A charge current until the battery is charged, then switches to a constant voltage mode to keep it charged.
During use, if the battery voltage drops below about 2.4V, the DW01A protection IC disconnects the battery from the OUT connectors, disabling discharge to protect the battery from running at too low and self-destructing.
When the module is then connected to USB power, it will trickle charge the battery to 2.9V (the over-discharge release voltage), at which point the charge current will be linearly increased to 1A maximum and the module will reconnect the battery to the OUT connections, allowing discharge of power from the battery to a connected load. Although the module cuts output power from the battery during an over-discharge situation, it still allows trickle charging of the battery to occur.
The module also protects against overcurrent and short-circuit protection - it will cut the output from the battery if the discharge rate exceeds 3A or if a short-circuit condition occurs.
This module is perfect for charging single cell 3.7V 1 Ah or higher LiPo cells such as 16550s and 18650s that don't have their own protection circuit. It can charge two cells in parallel, however since the two cells share the charging current, they take twice as long to charge as a single cell.

The seven band graphic equalizer IC is a CMOS chip that divides the audio spectrum into seven bands. 63Hz, 160Hz, 400Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz, 6.25kHz and 16kHz. The seven frequencies are peak detected and multiplexed to the output to provide a DC representation of the amplitude of each band. No external components are needed to select the filter responses. Only an off chip resistor and capacitor are needed to select the on chip clock oscillator frequency. The filter center frequencies track this frequency.
Other than coupling and decoupling capacitors, no other external components are needed. The chip supply can be between 2.7 and 5.5 volts with 5 volts providing the best performance. The device has very low quiescent current (less than 1ma typical) for portable audio devices. the multiplexer is controlled by a reset and a strobe, permitting multiplexer readout with only two pins. The multiplexer readout rate also controls the decay time (10% decay per read), so no external pins are needed for this function.

The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with official Arduino and cloned 5V/3V Arduino boards.
It can also be used for general serial applications. The major difference with this board is that it brings out the DTR pin as opposed to the RTS pin of the FTDI cable. The DTR pin allows an Arduino target to auto-reset when a new Sketch is downloaded. This is a really nice feature to have and allows a sketch to be downloaded without having to hit the reset button. This board will auto reset any Arduino board that has the reset pin brought out to a 6-pin connector.
The pins labeled BLK and GRN correspond to the colored wires on the FTDI cable. The black wire on the FTDI cable is GND, green is CTS. Use these BLK and GRN pins to align the FTDI basic board with your Arduino target.

16-Bit I/O Expander with I2C Interface DIP28

Add another 16 pins to your microcontroller using a MCP23017 port expander. The MCP23017 uses two i2c pins (these can be shared with other i2c devices), and in exchange gives you 16 general purpose pins. You can set each of 16 pins to be input, output, or input with a pullup. There's even the ability to get an interrupt via an external pin when any of the inputs change so you don't have to keep polling the chip.
Use this chip from 2.7-5.5V (good for any 3.3V or 5V setup), and you can sink/source up to 20mA from any of the I/O pins so this will work for LEDs and such. Team it up with a high-power MOSFET if you need more juice. DIP package means it will plug into any breadboard or perfboard.
You can set the i2c address by tying the ADDR0-2 pins to power or ground, for up to 8 unique addresses. That means 8 chips can share a single i2c bus - that's 128 I/O pins!
These are small plastic connectors. One half is solderable for PCB placement, the other half requires wire and included wire solder tips. Very tiny parts. We have many sets of several versions.
